Rocky View Schools board of trustees chair Fiona Gilbert is among the invited attendees to a provincial government announcement about 11 new school builds on Saturday, Feb. 15.
While the details aren't fully stated in the media release about the impending announcement by Alberta Minister of Education Demetrios Nicolaides and Minister of Advanced Education Rajan Sawhney, the inclusion of Gilbert and Calgary Board of Education chair Patricia Bolger as the only other two named participants likely bodes well for Rocky Views Schools, which is facing overcrowding in Airdrie, Cochrane, Crossfield and Chestermere in particular.
The event will be held at the Genesis Centre on Falconbridge Blvd. NE in Calgary at noon.
