Heritage Park Roadshow: A Historic Easter Weekend of Antiques, Auctions, and Family Fun

Are you an Antique Roadshow fan? If so, you don’t want to miss Heritage Park Roadshow taking place this Easter weekend!

Join Canadian picker Sheldon Smith for an incredible live auction where rare and truly unique items are on the block. Own a piece of history or just join for the fun – there is something for everyone! Heritage Park Roadshow takes place from April 18-20 and is a first for the venue, so be sure to visit what may become an annual event.

Not only is the exciting live auction a feature, the entire weekend is dedicated to rare finds and historical treasures.  Artefact is hosting a silent auction at the Toy Shoppe in the Plaza, featuring a stunning collection of items—from antique furniture and rare jewelry to unique art pieces—many items are available for preview and online bidding. Missing a key item from your legacy bone China collection? It may be at the auction. Seeking a truly unique Art Deco necklace? Come on down! You may find the perfect piece. Looking to replace a long-lost childhood toy? Be sure to visit both the live and silent auctions to see if your long-lost treasure is waiting there for you.

In true Roadshow style, you can get even more involved. Just like the televised show, you can have your heirlooms or thrifted items appraised. Learn if your goods have more than sentimental value and if so, you have a chance to auction them during one of the live events and help support Heritage Park with a portion of the proceeds.

Live and silent auctions and appraisals? Could the weekend get any better? Of course it can! You can shop at an antique and retro market as part of the fun! Additionally, an interactive part of the weekend is Calgary’s Greatest Treasure Hunt. A checklist is available at the front gate and completed forms have a chance to win a daily $300 prize.

This event is set up to be a family fun day, so bring the kids, make it a date night, or create a group outing – because there is so much to do on site. The Heritage Park Roadshow event includes a chance for kids to ride in a vintage sidecar (tickets for this are separate and sold on site), face painting, morse coding, and wagon rides. The Park’s Ranch Hands will also be strolling around with adorable sheep and goats to pet and say hello to.

Sheldon isn’t the only special guest... the Easter Bunny will also put in an appearance for fun photos and festive meet and greets.

That’s a lot of fun! Heritage Park has also made it easy and affordable to take it all in thanks to a 3-day weekend pass.
