The job fair will bring together Cochrane employers with potential employees.

Cochranites looking for a career change (or even just a career) will have lots to choose from at the Cochrane Job Fair, a collaboration between the Cochrane & District Chamber of Commerce, Cochrane Prospect, and the Stoney Nation Job Resource Centre.

Organizer Jennifer Wanner of the Chamber, said they have over 35 businesses participating, and they want to hire Cochranites.

“It’s a free job fair for employers and it’s free for job seekers, too. It’s one way we can support our local businesses,” she said.

“It’s great to see so many job opportunities in Cochrane. It’s such an amazing place to live, but you what’s even better? When you get to live here and work here,” she said.

There is no registration fee. Participants should bring their resumes and be ready to meet recruiters.
They also will be able to access free job search support from Prospect, including resume preparation, interview tips, and more.

Job opportunities will cover a broad spectrum.

“Also Bow Valley College will be there, so if you’re looking at a career change, it might be a good way to connect with those people,” Wanner said.

Cochrane Prospect is a non-profit employment resource centre that provides a variety of employment resources to employers and employees in towns and cities across the province.
