"We have two families in need of everything from clothing to necessities of all kinds any and all donations will be gladly excepted," wrote MacCharles. "There was a house fire at one home but it quickly engulfed the neighbours home as well, both families are well and with neighbours at this time but both places are gone completely.
"I'm raising $50,000 to be split between both families, to help cover the loss of household goods, provide a temporary place to live, replace essential work equipment, and ensure the kids have what they need."
So far, 38 separate donations have been made, totalling $3,565.
The fire has been extinguished with no serious injuries reported. As crews deal with hotspots and remediation throughout the day, people are asked to use caution and expect traffic delays.
