Dan Cunin enters the race for town council ahead of the competition

Cochrane's Dan Cunin announced his bid to run for Cochrane town council on Mar. 6.

Time will tell if the early bird truly gets the worm, as Dan Cunin, one of the earliest contenders in Cochrane’s upcoming election, submitted his entry to be one of the candidates for the municipal election on Mar. 6.

This will be Cunin’s fourth time running for local office. With a firm belief in positive change, his platform includes doing better with taxes, advocating for local and small businesses, and returning to the fundamentals of good governance, transparency, and outreach.

He adds that he will also address critical needs of the community including traffic issues, preserving the environment and wetlands, 24/7 emergency care, and increasing emergency response.

Aside from a decade worth of political experience, Cunin has also served as a paramedic, financial planner, and has worked for the Government of Alberta for 24 years.
