While no alerts are yet in effect, Environment Canada is warning Cochrane area residents that there is a risk of thunderstorms beginning this morning and carrying into evening.
Rain is certainly in the forecast with likely between 10 mm and 20 mm falling this afternoon, and winds gusting up to 50 km/h.
This evening it will also rain with the risk of a thunderstorms continuing . The amount of rain expected is 15 to 25 mm. Wind northeast 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h
A mix of sun and cloud is expected for Friday with a possibility of a thunderstorm in the afternoon with a high of 19 C and a low of 5 C.
