Rocky View County (RVC) is reminding local farmers that a permit is needed to transport goods in the county, particularly with road bans on.

"A free Annual Agricultural Permit to ensure smooth operations during critical times like spring thaw when road bans are in place," the County states on its Facebook page.

These permits provide exemptions that allow for the transportation of essential goods such as grain, seed, fertilizer, and livestock along the County's roads, even under weight restrictions. By obtaining the necessary permits, farmers can minimize the impact of road bans on their hauling operations and continue their vital work without any interruptions.

Anyone with questions can 403-230-1401 to get answers and to obtain a free Agricultural Permit.
