Margaret Taylor of Cochrane, AB, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the age of 90 years.
Margaret was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on May 13, 1934. She immigrated to Calgary, AB, in 1972 with her husband Robert “Bob” Taylor and her daughter, Jackie.
Margaret married Bob in 1955, and they became soul mates for life. She loved gardening and would always be ready to give advice on how things should be done.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Jackie, and son-in-law Mike Stott of Calgary, AB; her beloved granddaughters, Jennifer Kolb (Sean) of Calgary, AB, and Sarah Smid (Tyrel) of Cochrane, AB; and her precious great-grandchildren, Colson and Kenzie Smid of Cochrane, AB. Margaret is also survived by her brothers Edward Hurley (Josie) of Calgary, AB,and Lawrence Hurley of Leeds, England; sister Maureen Dick (Duane) of Okotoks, AB, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her spouse Robert, her parents, Edward and Isabella Hurley; and her brother Maurice Hurley.
