With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Jill Marie Hilland McLachlin, who left us peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the age of 49. Jill was a loving wife, devoted mother, beloved sister, cherished aunt, and dear friend. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, warmth, and boundless love for her family.

Jill is survived by her husband Brad, her two children, Blake and CJ, and her stepdaughter, Eleanor. She also leaves behind her sister Patti and brother-in-law Rick, her brother Jay and sister-in-law Olga, and her treasured niece Madison, her nephew Kaiden, and Madison’s husband Tim. Jill was a constant source of support, strength, and love to every member of her family, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Jill's life was centered around family, and she took immense pride in her role as a mother and wife. She had a generous heart, always putting the needs of others before her own, her laughter and spirit lit up every room she entered. Jill’s nurturing presence was a gift to everyone around her. Whether it was a warm hug, a kind word, or a listening ear, Jill’s love was always unconditional.

She had a deep passion for dance, dedicating many years to lessons and performances. Her love for dance even took her overseas to perform, and she spent many years with The Young Canadians, sharing her talent and passion for the art. Dance was a vital part of Jill's life and a source of great joy for her.

Jill also had a diverse career, one that reflected her adventurous spirit and dedication. She worked at Home Hardware in Cochrane, Canada Olympic Park, and ultimately found her true calling at WestJet, where she worked as a flight attendant. Her role allowed her to travel across North America, exploring new places, meeting new people, and embracing the thrill of adventure.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made will endure forever. She was a true example of strength, love, and selflessness, and she will be remembered with fondness and gratitude.

A Celebration of Life in Jill’s honor will be held at the Cochrane RancheHouse (101 Ranchehouse Rd, Cochrane, AB) on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Jill are invited to join her family in celebrating the beautiful life she lived.
