July 31, 1944 – July 17, 2024
Tony grew up in Clandonald, AB, and was the second child of a family of five. After high school, he left home and made his way to work in the oil patch, like many others of his time. Tony’s instincts convinced him that further education was essential to realize his career goals. With Sharon’s encouragement, he attended SAIT and eventually together opened TSC Explorations Ltd., their drilling company.
Tony was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Catherine; the love of his life, his wife Sharon, brothers-in-law, Ron Derouin and Gordon Bulat; and sister-in-law Bernice Convey. He leaves to mourn, his siblings, John (Audrey), Patrick (Sheanna), Neil, and Catherine Ann (Jim Purney); the Derouin family, sisters-in-law, Lana, Debbie (Willy), and Eva; as well as several nieces, nephews, neighbours, and friends.
The family wishes to thank all of Tony’s wonderful neighbours, friends, and particularly Marie-Linda Plante, for their support, assistance, and many kindnesses.
A Gathering to Celebrate Tony’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Cochrane, 369 Railway Street, Cochrane, AB) on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Tony’s family at www.MHFH.com.
In living memory of Tony Convey, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes.
