Cochrane Chaos face two-game deficit against Edmonton Wolves

The Cochrane Chaos faced back-to-back losses against the reigning AJFHL champions on Mar. 15 and 16.

After being unable to contain the reigning AJFHL champions over the weekend, the Cochrane Chaos are in a two-game deficit against the Edmonton Wolves in the race for the 2025 AJFHL championship title.

The Chaos punched their ticket to the finals following their series win against the Calgary Titans. In last year’s finals, the Chaos squared off against the Wolves, but were ultimately swept 0-3.

For the first two games in the best-of-five series, the Chaos hosted the Wolves on Mar. 15 and 16 at the SLS Centre.

After going undefeated in the first two rounds of their playoff run, the Chaos’ win streak quickly came to a halt, following a 0-4 loss in game one.

In game two, the Wolves scored two points in the first period, but Sarah Gaiser managed to pull one back before they entered the second. A goal by Teah Workman in the second period tied the game, but a powerplay goal in the third period, followed by another goal a minute later, put the Chaos down by two. Although Zoe Walker secured one more point, the Chaos fell 3-4.

The Chaos will be heading to Edmonton for game three and four, which are set for Mar. 22 and 23 at 6 p.m.
