The Bow Valley Rugby Club is hosting its annual Club Day on Saturday, June 17 at Mitford Park, offering sports-lovers in Cochrane an opportunity to come check out what the club has to offer.
Everyone is welcome to come out and support Cochrane's local rugby teams, according to an email submitted to The Eagle by the club.
The day of rugby-related entertainment starts at 11 a.m., showcasing the club's four Minis teams with youth players ranging from ages three to 11.
The Grizzlies' women's team, the Holy Valley Cats (a combined team of players from the Calgary Saints, Bow Valley, and Foothills Lions rugby clubs) will then play a league game at noon against the Calgary Canucks.
The club's U15 junior boys team – a combination of Saracens and Bow Valley players – will then take to the field at 1:40 p.m. against the Rams/Canucks (another combined team).
The final game of the day features the Grizzlies' senior men's team when they face the Foothill Lions at 3 p.m.
