More snow is predicted to hit Cochrane this weekend as Environment Canada expects close to 20 to 25 centimetres to fall by Sunday.
According to Environment Canada's forecast, about five to 10 centimetres of snow are expected to fall tonight. Temperatures will hover around -13 C, with a windchill making them drop even further to -17 C.
On Saturday, snow is expected to fall heavily throughout the day, dumping about 10 to 15 centimetres worth. The daytime high on Saturday is predicted to be -13 C, -16 with the windchill in the morning and -21 in the afternoon. The snow should stop falling by Sunday, with the sunny peaking and a steady high of -14 C.
It's expected to be sunny throughout next week, with temperatures slowly increasing until Tuesday, when Environment Canada predicts the temperature to be a high of -1 C.
The Cochrane area is currently under a snowfall warning, with a 30 per cent chance of flurries expected to contribute to about two to four centimetres of snow today.
