A new mixed martial arts studio opened in downtown Cochrane on Saturday, a new branch of the Kieran Keddle Academy that offers classes in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Cochrane Mayor Jeff Genung, along with dozens of other athletes, prospective athletes, academy staff, and locals joined Keddle in opening his new academy location at 111 2nd Avenue West.
The "Muay Thai in the Rockies" academy, which has a branch in Bragg Creek, offers classes for youths, teens, and younger adults from Monday to Thursday, as well as Saturday.
