Traffic through the intersection of Highway 1A and Centre Avenue will be changed to the new alignment with new signal lights, beginning next week.
Overnight on Monday (July 25), work will begin to remove the old traffic lights and wooden poles.
The new access to 3 Street West will also be aligned to Hwy 1A.
"During this time, there will be traffic disruptions and multiple alterations of traffic lane routing," reads a Facebook post from the Town of Cochrane. "If possible, please consider taking an alternative route."
The Town also asks that motorists drive with caution, obey traffic signs and follow instructions from flaggers.
