According to reports, police have captured a man with a firearm in downtown Cochrane.
Cochrane RCMP arrested a male suspect in downtown Cochrane on Friday, April 4. Prior to the arrest nearby facilities such as The Station and Cochrane Public Library locked down upon receiving advisement of the male suspect and the possible presence of a firearm.
Police received a complaint about the suspicious male potentially carrying a firearm early Friday afternoon. The suspect was later located south of First Street West.
RCMP have not confirmed whether or not the suspect was carrying a firearm. The charges will likely be revealed in court next week.
