Southern Alberta will once again play the Wild West in an upcoming production.
The third and final season of Billy the Kid will be filming in Calgary and surrounding area from March to July 2025, and background actors are wanted to help transform the area into the American frontier.
Albertan actors of all ethnic backgrounds over the age of 18 are welcome to apply, though with much of Billy the Kid being set in 19th-century New Mexico, performers of Latin American heritage in particular are wanted. Only Alberta residents are eligible and proof of residency will be required.
The gig is a paid opportunity through the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) IPA (Independent Production Agreement).
The show's titular Wild West outlaw is played by Tom Blyth, perhaps best known for starring in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023) as Cornelius Snow.
