Patrick Wilson said he has more work to do from town council, especially from the traffic and growth management front, and to support local businesses in a meaningful way.

“This town has given my family and I so much, it's been such an incredible town to live in. We love the people and I just want to be able to give back.”

“My husband and I like to contribute to society,” Lange said. “The way we’ve always done that is through volunteering and volunteering is how I got to meet people in the town because I knew no one when I moved here. Running for council gives me another avenue to impact my community more and give back more.”

Cox said he can offer insight on Cochrane town council, noting a few issues he said have been overlooked in the past few years.

Alex Reed believes his business expertise and years of experience will continue to serve Cochrane if he is re-elected after Oct. 18.

A meet-and-greet was held at The Social Spot and around 50 people came to ask questions of the candidates. Twelve of the 19 town council candidates and all three Rocky View Schools Ward 6 candidates were present and answering questions at socially distanced tables.

McFadden, who has served four terms on council, said her passion for community service and creating positive change is what has kept her coming back since she was first elected in 2007.

Susan Flowers said she is invested in supporting services for all ages, but added Town council has some ground to make up after the last four-year term.
