The GoFundMe page set up to help two Irricana families who's homes went up in flames on Jan. 25th has hit a fundraising milestone.
$12,500 has already been raised in the course of half-a-week, totalling 100 separate donations.

MacCharles confirmed the families had lost their homes and is attempting to support them in their time of need. The Irricana Lions Club additionally pledged to donate 50/50 draw proceeds from their Feb. 8th Valentine’s Steak & Lobster Dinner and Dance.
"I'm raising $50,000 to be split between both families, to help cover the loss of household goods, provide a temporary place to live, replace essential work equipment, and ensure the kids have what they need," MacCharles wrote on the GoFund Me page.
The Airdrie RCMP, along with EMS and fire services from Irricana, Rocky View County, Crossfield and Airdrie responded to assist in extinguishing the blaze at around 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the corner of McCulloch Crescent and Madison Drive.
