According to the cochrane.ca websites and the Cochrane Eagle, the Town proclaimed that the average residential single-family property assessment has increased by 10.59 per cent. With the presented assessment, this is fiction and a simple untruth. Fact is that our estimate is far over the proclaimed average assessment. The Tax-increase of $324.65 (14.23 per cent) is unjustified, unreasonable and above the proclaimed average price.
This department increased our Home by $80,100 which is an increase of 22.82 per cent from the previous assessment last year without any proof, information or declarations. The increase is unjustified and unproven since there were no activities within Cochrane that increased all houses by 22.82 per cent.
