The Town of Cochrane says someone has been cutting down trees in Cochrane and building strange, teepee-like structures out of them.
According to the Town, it's not Bigfoot behind the impromptu sculptures, but rather very human builders.
On a post on the Town's Facebook page it stated:
"Hey Cochrane! Recently we have noticed trees being cut down in our environmental reserves and being used to build teepee like structures. Cutting down trees negatively impacts our environment and park spaces. Cochrane takes pride in maintaining over 500 hectares of parks and open spaces, and it’s up to all of us to keep them beautiful!
"Let’s work together to protect our trees and preserve these green spaces for everyone to enjoy."
If anyone is caught cutting down trees on Cochrane's reserve lands, it should be reported to the Town's bylaw enforcement.
