Environment Canada has ended its Tornado watch for much of Central Alberta, including the Cochrane region and other nearby communities.
The watch was cancelled at about 9:35 p.m. on Wednesday after being issued at 2:30 p.m., as atmospheric conditions had been deemed favourable for the potential formation of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes.
A heat warning and air quality warning remains in effect for the area.
