Alberta RCMP Major Crimes charged a third person in the death of 33-year-old Calgarian Kyle Schuiling, after his remains were found near Tsuut’ina Nation earlier this year.

On April 3, at around 5:30 a.m., Tsuut’ina Nation Fire Department responded to a grass fire near Range Road 40 and Township Road 241 in Rocky View County. While they were extinguishing the fire, Schuiling’s remains were located on scene.

According to RCMP, 41-year-old Chad McKinnon of Strathmore, who was arrested near Langdon, is charged with accessory after the fact to murder, alongside flight from the police and dangerous driving.

RCMP said the suspect damaged two cruisers and injured one officer after he tried to flee from officers.

Others previously charged in the case include Christopher Stack (39), a resident of Calgary, who was arrested in May and charged with the first-degree murder of Kyle Schuiling.

On Aug. 13, 2024, RCMP Major Crimes Unit arrested and charged another alleged person responsible for the homicide of Kyle Schuiling.
