A community association is being formed for Greystone

The new Greystone Community Association has officially been launched by becoming incorporated as of this week.

One of the new association directors, Rob Wollin, said getting the association up and running before the bricks and mortar stage has been completed might be considered a bit unusual.

“It’s a brave move to start this before the community is fully built but when I came down to the pre-incorporation block party last June and found everyone so warm, welcoming and inclusive, I felt I could move in with confidence” he said.

“Turning that feeling I had into something for the whole community is why I volunteered as a director.”

Fellow director Kyle Loewen added, “It’s all part of a for-neighbours-by-neighbours ethos. To keep building that sense of pride and belonging,  we’re keen to hear from any new Greystone residents.”

Loewen said they are still building their website and planning events for this year but for those keen to get involved and help the association grow or just looking to get on the mailing list to be kept up-to-date can contact the association at [email protected].
