Snowfall warning issued Monday for Airdrie, Cochrane, Rocky View County

About 10 centimetres of snow is expected throughout the day

ROCKY VIEW COUNTY – Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a snowfall warning for parts of Rocky View County including near Airdrie and Cochrane Monday morning.

The warning was issued for Rocky View County near Airdrie, Crossfield, Bottrel, Maddan,  Bragg Creek, Tsuu T'ina, Chestermere, Dalroy and Dalemead, Cochrane, Irricana, Beiseker and Kathyrn.

Snowfall with total amounts of about 10 centimetres is expected, the federal agency said in a 2:55 a.m. Nov. 18 alert update.

“Heavy snow will fall this morning and ease during the day. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions,” the alert for the area said.
