The board of trustees unanimously voted to approve $243,500 from RVS’ cash-in-lieu fund to pay for a Banded Peak School improvement project in Bragg Creek.
The project will address the condition of Banded Peak’s access road and parking lot.
The current road and parking lot is unpaved gravel and is difficult for the school to maintain due to the amount of moisture the foothills regions receives.
The redesigned access road and parking area will enhance safety by separating bus traffic from parent parking and provide a paved surface.
Currently, cash-in-lieu reserve account sits at $1,058,030 after other approved commitments.
