Bragg Creek Wild (BCW) is presenting an informative evening of wild adventures featuring renowned speaker and wilderness expert Brian Keating March 14 at the Bragg Creek Community Centre. Attendees will discover the wonders of Alberta’s foothills wildlife with a well–known naturalist.

Bragg Creek Wild’s promotional material describes Keating’s uplifting presentation as “celebrating wildlife worldwide and, most importantly, at home.”

"We are thrilled to welcome Brian Keating, a renowned naturalist and passionate storyteller," said BCW President Renee Delorme. "His inspiring and insightful presentation will take us on a journey across the globe, celebrating the incredible connections that unite us with wildlife and the privilege we have to coexist with nature, right here in Bragg Creek."

“Brian is a rare speaker who instantly captivates his audience, seamlessly blending entertainment and education to bring the natural world to life. With eloquence, passion, and humour, he leaves listeners with a newfound appreciation and deeper insight into nature.”

Keating’s talk, entitled Going Wild is a spirit-lifting journey into some of the planet’s best wilderness locations. His passion for remote travel will be revealed along with his buoyant method of storytelling. Using humour, personal anecdotes, and his own live-narrated video segments, he takes his audiences into gin-clear ocean depths with unbelievable creatures, to deserts and rich tropical forests, and to places where wildlife numbers leave attendees overwhelmed and amazed.

“To conclude, he’ll return to our own Canadian backyard, including Bragg Creek, where it all started for him, reconfirming the value of our wild spaces. Delorme said. "This presentation is designed to inspire and enthuse, offering hope for a better tomorrow."

The show is March 14, 7 pm at the Bragg Creek Community Centre. Tickets are available through Eventbrite.

"My first initiation to wild spaces and their wildlife started when I began to trek in and explore Bragg Creek and Kananaskis in my teen years,” Keating said.

“It is there that I discovered my passion for the natural world. Presenting in Bragg Creek is a bit like returning home, where it all started and I am so excited about this opportunity.”

He has since become a world nature traveller.

"I've had the incredible privilege of traveling across the globe, exploring the wild corners of our planet, and witnessing firsthand the wonders of wildlife," Keating said. "Our connection to the natural world is profound, intricate, and inescapable. Sharing stories about this relationship—our deep interdependence and the fate that binds us—is both a responsibility and an absolute honor."
