Cochrane residents should be prepared for a rare autumn scorcher with temperatures expected to hover at or above the 30 C mark for most of the weekend.
According to Environment Canada, temperatures will reach 30 C on Friday with a Humidex of 31, which could be a record breaker. Cochrane's previously documented high for Sept. 6 was 29.9 C in 2006
Temperatures are forecasted to be 29 C on Saturday and Sunday.
