The Calgary Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a string of armed robberies that occurred last week and this week.

On Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, at approximately 12 a.m., police were called to the 420 Cannabis store, located at 2008 33 Avenue S.W., for reports of an armed robbery. The suspects fled prior to police arrival.

One week later, on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, approximately at 12 a.m., we were called for reports of an armed robbery at Dank Cannabis Weed Dispensary Parkdale, located at 3412 Third Avenue N.W.

The suspects fled the store prior to police arrival and were believed to be travelling in a stolen vehicle.

Later that same day, we were called for reports of a third armed robbery at 420 Cannabis located at 3011 26 Avenue S.W. where it is believed three unknown suspects entered the store and brandished a gun and a knife.

It is believed the same suspects are responsible for each of these robberies. In each incident, the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and store cannabis product.

Police are working closely with business staff to obtain and review evidence. No suspects are in custody at this time.

The Calgary Police Service encourages business owners to be aware of safety and security protocols, to be vigilant of suspicious persons or activity around their stores and to call police if they notice anything unusual.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
