Police confiscate over 200 THC lego candies

More than 200 THC Lego-shaped candies were found in a recent check stop at a truck stop in Tsuu T’ina Nation. On Oct. 17 Tsuu T’ina police pulled over a Chevrolet Silverado during a check stop where after searching the vehicle police found: - 1.

More than 200 THC Lego-shaped candies were found in a recent check stop at a truck stop in Tsuu T’ina Nation.

On Oct. 17 Tsuu T’ina police pulled over a Chevrolet Silverado during a check stop where after searching the vehicle police found:

- 1.3kg of marijuana

- 27 THC Syringes

- 14 shatter packages

- 204 THC candies in Lego figure form

- Five cell phones

- $475 in cash

Derek Fullerton, 39, from Calgary was arrested and subsequently charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The totally street value of the seizure was estimated to be $12,000.

“The form of the THC candies is a specific concern due to the attraction it poses to children and adults alike,” a Tsuut'ina Nation Police Service press release stated.

In light of the seizure Tsuu T’ina Nation leadership acted quickly in issuing a Band Council resolution on the subject and Fullerton was banned from the Nation.

Fullerton is scheduled to appear in court in December.
