Kraft Hockeyville 2025 is back for its 19th year nationwide.
Kraft Heinz, in partnership with the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA), has announced that nominations are open with the deadline of Mar. 2.
Kraft Hockeyville is a feel-good program that provides communities an opportunity to host a National Hockey League (NHL) pre-season game and win $250,000 for arena upgrades. The program aims to capitalize on the passion and pride shared nationwide when it comes to hockey, so the sport can be accessible to all.
An approximate of five million dollars has been awarded to 101 communities across Canada, which addresses the growing costs associated with aging sports and recreation infrastructure in Canada.
The three runner-ups will be awarded $25,000 for arena upgrades, whereas the top four finalists will also be awarded $10,000 in brand new hockey equipment to help children play the game on behalf of NHLPA Goals and Dreams.

During Kraft Hockeyville 2024, Cochrane was the only the community in Alberta in the running, but ultimately came up short in the final voting.
