Earlier this evening the Town of Cochrane reported that local fire services were responding to a significant fire at two homes under construction in Rivercrest.
According to the Town's Facebook page, the fire is now under control.
"Earlier this evening, crews responded to a structure fire in the Rivercrest community," said a statement released by the Town. "The fire involved two unoccupied homes which were under construction ... Crews will remain on scene to coordinate clean up and ensure ongoing safety."
Residents are advised to continue to avoid the area to allow crews the space to respond.
