“Cochrane Together - A Remembrance” mural unveiled at The Station

The mural project was funded by a Heritage Canada grant from the Government of Canada. This re-opening fund was designed to help communities recover and rebuild after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Marina Chabbert, president of Cochrane and Area Events Society, presented the unveiling of the “Cochrane Together - A Remembrance” mural mosaic project on Friday morning at The Station.

The mural project was funded by a Heritage Canada grant from the Government of Canada. This re-opening fund was designed to help communities recover and rebuild after the COVID-19 pandemic.

CAES held numerous community painting sessions, attracted online submissions and facilitated painting projects at some local schools. Submissions were fashioned into a mural depicting Cochrane residents reaching out to one another around the beloved Grandfather Tree – a reminder of how our community rooted together to thrive during these trying times.
