The Rotary Club of Cochrane is set to host their Afternoon Golf Fellowship Event on July 30.

The Rotary Club of Cochrane is teeing up a special event for Rotarians in the community, with their Afternoon Golf Fellowship Event on July 30.

The event will take place at the Cochrane Golf Course from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration fees vary from $31 for seniors, $35 for non-seniors, and $25 for juniors.

Club services director, Hank Pilotte, said the event is primal primarily for Rotarians and invited guests. He assures all participants that it will be a fun afternoon of golf. To round it off, all golfers will meet in the WOW Bakery for beverages and special prizes.

“It’s a great little course,” Pilotte said “It’s nine holes, but they keep it in great shape, this little course.”

Pilotte said he hopes that this becomes an annual event, adding that this is a great way to have members meet and interact with one another in a very casual and fun setting.

“The whole intent of the tournament is to go out there and enjoy yourself,” he said. “I’ve been playing golf for 51 years, and spent 51 years playing bad golf, so anybody who wants to play doesn’t have to be a good golfer.”
