UPDATE: Cochrane RCMP release name of restaurant assault offender

Information charging Tyler Lee Weber, 40, of Calgary with assault and mischief was sworn before the courts earlier today

UPDATE: Cochrane RCMP have released the name of a man caught punching a Cochrane restaurant employee in the face on CCTV camera earlier this month, who later turned himself in.

Mounties have charged Tyler Lee Weber, 40, of Calgary with assault and mischief as a result of the Feb. 12 incident.

Weber punched a Mr. Mikes Steakhouse employee after he was asked to wear a mask before entering the restaurant. He has since been released from custody and is set to appear in Cochrane Provincial Court on March 22.

The male victim in the assault suffered minor injuries.

Cochrane RCMP could not previously release Weber's name as the information had not yet been sworn in before the courts. The matter is now before the courts and no further information will be provided by RCMP.
