Through the support from these organizations and the community, the SLS will be making some new upgrades to the Old Barn.

After planning and feedback, the SLS Centre decided that four key improvements that will impact the community’s experience at the Cochrane Arena.

This includes lighting upgrades that will improve visibility while also reducing energy consumption, a new hydration station in the main lobby, rubber flooring replacements in the dressing rooms and player benches, and bathroom improvements which include new partitions in dressing room stalls and plans for further upgrades to the public washrooms in 2025.

Catriona Hill, director of experience at the SLS Centre, said that the upgrades reflect their commitment to deliver an improved experience to the community that worked together to secure the prize.
