I realize that the media tends to favour the left. However I am finding that the Eagle has become quite slanted in the opinion column. The 'rainbow crossing' article exemplifies this. This is not about equity, or equality. Otherwise we would need a crosswalk for every blonde, celiac, or flat-footed in our society. Point being why do we continue to see raising one element of the population above the other as 'equality'. Please, keep the crosswalks as crosswalks. Promote your biased views in some other way.
