One inexpensive product that you may consider if you are not planning to sell for some time is to plant trees. Mature shade trees will cool the air in the garden and make it look lovely. As well, shade trees can cut down cooling costs and be good for the environment by providing homes for wildlife. Start early and small trees will be a low cost. Add native shrubs and plants to the garden as well, and look into what is best for your region. Look at what is already outdoors well neaten it up to make the area look beautiful and improve the curb appeal, now and in the future.
Kitchen Upgrades
Upgrading the kitchen and putting in new cabinet fixtures and cabinet doors will always work in your favour, and so will a water filtration system. It’s a great product that will improve the taste of water and offer a bonus to potential buyers.
Mirrors and Blinds
These moderate the light and space perception of the home. A cleverly placed mirror can make the room feel much larger and blinds or shutters in place of heavy draperies will bring openness and airiness to any room, while still blocking the light when necessary.
How Is Your Ceiling?
A ceiling can be upgraded and updated by taking out that old popcorn ceiling. It isn’t hard to do and leaving it there may turn buyers away. Give the ceiling a more modern look. Another benefit is a ceiling fan. They are beautiful, giving light and warmth to the room. They pair well with other heating and cooling systems in the home. If you already have a ceiling fan that is not working properly, be sure to replace it with something that will look great and do the job.
Walls and Floors
New paint will instantly clean up and brighten the home. It's simple and cost-effective and looks great. How about the carpets? If they are worn out, replace them. Even if they are not too worn, look at whether they hold dust and other pollutants inside the carpet itself.
