No injuries reported in Southern Alberta train derailment

Rocky View County (RVC) Fire Services have stated that there are no injuries to report in regards to the train derailment that occurred earlier this morning near the Village of Beiseker. 

RVC Fire Service crews were on the scene to assist with the security and containment of the 14 CN train cars that were derailed in a farmer's field three kilometres north of Beiseker. RVC confirms that the derailment was isolated to the empty field and no roads have been effected by the derailed train cars. 

According to the County's Fire Service, 14 train cars containing household goods and empty petroleum cars were impacted by the derailment, and there are no leaks or hazards to report at this time. 

The scene is being secured by RCMP and CN Rail is managing the impact and cleanup of the cars. The County said that Fire service crews will remain on the scene for assistance.
