Friday is opening night at a drive-in movie theatre in High River.
Moviegoers at Sunset Drive-In can see two movies every Friday and Saturday night until the season ends on Sept. 24.
The season kicks off on Aug. 2 with Mean Girls and Clueless. Showtime is at 9:35 p.m. and gates open one hour prior. Showtime gets earlier as the days get shorter.
Entry is $40 per vehicle and there is a concession and washrooms onsite.
The drive-in is a non-profit that is run by volunteers. Half of the proceeds go to local charities and the other half pays for equipment and for improvements to the site.
The outdoor theatre is located off Highway 543, west of the High River Rodeo grounds.
