One person suffered minor injuries in a house fire at Stonegate Crescent N.W. in Airdrie On Feb. 5.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help an Airdrie family who lost their home in a fire on Wednesday night.

Airdrie and Rocky View fire crews were called to Stonegate Crescent N.W. at around 5 p.m.

The organizer of the fundraiser, Krista Johnston, confirmed that the Martin family lost everything in the blaze.

"Their home and belongings were completely destroyed, and they are now left to face the overwhelming challenge of rebuilding their lives from the ground up," Johnston wrote. "As they are current members of the Horizon Taekwon-Do family, we hope our Horizon and Airdrie community, along with others, will come together to support the Martins during this difficult time."

The goal is currently set for $10,000. People can visit GoFundMe for more information and to donate.

"Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly towards helping the Martin family with immediate needs such as housing, clothing, food, and other essentials," Johnston added. "Your generosity will provide them with the financial support they need to take the first steps toward recovery and rebuilding their lives."

One person sustained minor injuries during the fire, which is still currently under investigation.
