Dangerous offender last seen in Calgary could be in Saskatchewan: RCMP

A dangerous offender wanted in Alberta on a Canada-wide warrant may be in North Battleford or Saskatoon but his current whereabouts are unknown, say police.

A dangerous offender wanted out of Calgary, Alta., may be in North Battleford or Saskatoon but his current whereabouts are unknown, say police.

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team (WEST) is asking the public to report sightings and information on the whereabouts of 37-year-old Michael Robertson.

Michael Robertson is wanted by Correctional Service of Canada on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching court-ordered conditions, including wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet.

Saskatchewan RCMP and Calgary Police Service are actively working to locate and arrest him.

Michael Robertson was last known to be in Calgary. Calgary Police say his ankle monitor was found in the Applewood community around 10 p.m. on May 10.

Robertson was declared a Long-Term Offender (LTO) and placed on a seven-year LTO Supervision Order (LTSO).

He was placed on the LTSO mainly from his offences in Saskatchewan, including robbery, disguise with intent, arson with disregard for human life, carrying a concealed weapon, assault, assault with a weapon, careless use of a firearm, having a weapon or prohibited device, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order, mischief, and failing to comply with a recognizance.

Investigators believe Michael Robertson may now be in the Saskatoon or North Battleford areas, but his current whereabouts are unknown.

Michael Robertson is approximately 6-foot-1 and 260 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

Robertson has multiple tattoos on his neck and tattoos under both of his eyes. 

If you see Michael Robertson, do not approach him. Report sightings or information on his whereabouts to your local police service.
