Tom Lipp is running as a member of the Christian Heritage Party in the Bow River riding in the upcoming federal election.

People can vote for Tom Lipp, after all.

The Christian Heritage Party candidate for Bow River announced on Monday that Elections Canada had deemed his candidacy "ineligible."

But on Wednesday, April 9 - following the candidacy application deadline - Lipp confirmed he was given the thumbs up.

In order to be a certified candidate with Elections Canada, the candidate must choose a party, appoint a campaign delegate (and auditor if contributions will be more than $10,000), collect the names, addresses, and signatures of 100 supporters, and file nomination papers before the Monday, April 7th deadline.

Lipp has run in the past two elections in 2021 and 2019.

He joins Bentley Barnes of the Liberal Party, David Bexte of the Conservative Party, Louisa Gwin of the NDP, and Aaron Patton of the United Party, as Bow River's five certified candidates.

There are no Green or People's Party of Canada candidate options.

The General Election takes place Monday, April 28, 2025.
