Police raid rural property in Rocky View, arrest four

ROCKY VIEW COUNTY - Police have arrested and charged four individuals with possession of stolen property after a raid on a rural property in Rocky View County.

According to the release provided by police, the Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (SAD CRU) executed a search warrant at a rural property east of Calgary after RCMP officers received information that a stolen Ford F350 was at a property on Range Road 284.

Cass Gustavson (45), Tammy Dohms (45) and Ashley Buckley (49), residents of Calgary, and Samuel Leighton (51), a resident of Brooks, were all arrested at the scene and have been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.

SAD CRU recovered six Dodge Ram pick-ups, two skid steers, two flat deck trailers, and three pieces of heavy duty machinery.

After Judicial Interim Release Hearings, Dohms was released and will appear again at the Alberta Court of Justice in Airdrie on Sept. 21.

Buckley and Leighton were remanded for court in Canmore and Brooks respectively. The two were scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 30. Gustavson was remanded for court in Airdrie. She was to appear on Aug. 31.
