A local brewery's beer has earned national recognition.

Hub Town Brewing has taken home two medals at the 2024 Canada Beer Cup competition, winning gold in the UK Stout & Porter category for Alberta’s Great Out S’mores Milk Stout and silver in Imperial Stout for Santa’s Little Helper.

The Canada Beer Cup celebrates independently owned and operated breweries across Canada. Judged by beer connoisseurs from across the world, the internationally-renowned competition is dubbed "for the industry by the industry," and all proceeds go toward the Canadian Craft Brewers Association.

Diamond Valley's Fahr Brewery won a bronze medal in the Pale Bitter European Beer category for its Pils.

The two Foothills breweries are no strangers to the Canada Beer Cup. In 2022, Hub Town took home gold in the Belgian Style Tripel or Other Belgian Style Strong Golden Ale category for its Fort Knox beer, while Fahr's Hefe won gold in 2023 under German Style Hefeweizen/Kristalweizen.
